Arrival at the Gates (2021)

The research for this 10-minute solo used José Esteban Muñoz’s senspirations of queer utopia as imagined framework to image the setting of heaven - queer utopia - on stage. What propels this work is a sense of arriving at a place which feels at once entirely unfamiliar and viscerally, intrinsically, known.

Premiered at Hollins University in November 2021.
